WAYS TO SAVE MONEY WHEN YOU LIVE ALONE

This post will give you some tips and trick you can use in your day to day life, to save a bit of money.

BRING YOUR OWN REUSABLE BAGS WHEN YOU'RE GROCERY SHOPPING
Even though it isn't the most expensive thing to spend money on bags at the store, in the long run you will be saving quite a bit and it's also way better for the environment.

DO A BIG GROCERY SHOP ONCE A WEEK
I'm not the best at doing this myself, but it can really save you some money. When you randomly go to the store every second day, you end up buying all the things you don't need. It's easier to control this, by making a shopping list and then buying everything you need for a weeks worth of food.

BUY MEAT WHEN IT'S ON OFFER AND STORE IT IN THE FREEZER
If you do eat meat, buying in bulk whenever it's on offer and freezing it down, is really the way to go. This way you can just take whatever you want to cook out of the freeze the night before and let it thaw in the fridge.

COOK 2-4 PERSON MEALS AND FREEZE THE LEFTOVERS DOWN IN PORTION SIZES
Cooking big meals when you live alone isn't a problem, just freeze all the leftovers down in portions in either empty containers or freezer bags, to save for a day you don't feel like cooking.

STORE YOUR RYE BREAD OR SANDWICH BREAD IN THE FREEZER
This really helped me out. In the beginning when I was living alone, I stored my bread in a cupboard and it ended up going bad before I even had the chance to finish it all, just a waste of good food and money. So I switched over to storing it in my freezer and every evening, I grab a couple of slices, let them thaw and prepare my lunch for the following day.

BUY CLEANING SUPPLIES IN DOLLAR STORES OR STORES LIKE "NORMAL" HERE IN DENMARK
Cleaning supplies can be EXPENSIVE and dollar stores have great products that does the job just as well. So products like hand soap, dish soap, all around cleaner, toilet cleaner, sponges and so much more is different a category where you can save some money.

BUY YOUR BEAUTY PRODUCTS ONLINE
I know in some countries beauty products might not be as expensive as they are here in Denmark, but for us Scandinavians buying our products on eBay, UK webshops or US webshops is WAY CHEAPER!
