FIVE HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER

Sunday, October 1, 2017

Looking back on last month, here are the things that brought me the most joy.

THE CHANGING WEATHER
Even though the Danish summer hasn't been the best and longest this year, I can't help but be happy and excited, when the temperature drops down below 20 degrees celsius. I love the hot drinks, the fashion, candles and the cosiness this weather brings. Crisp mornings like the one on the photo below, where the sun is rising on a blue sky, is just perfect, I had to take a picture of it!

STREET FOOD OPENING IN ODENSE
Storm's Pakhus just opened recently in Odense. It's an old warehouse building, that's been transformed into a hall filled with street food stands, selling food from around the world. On Friday night, my friend and I went there on their opening night. I ordered a South American veggie burger, with a mango mojito, while my friend ordered a Thai dish, with a strawberry mojito. After chatting while eating dinner, we listened to live music and finish the night with some French crepes. Highly recommend you visiting this place, if you're ever in Odense, Denmark, such cool vibes.

MY PARENTS 100TH BIRTHDAY PARTY
In the middle of September, my parents held a big birthday party, for all their friends and family, to celebrate their combined 100th birthday. We enjoyed speeches, good food, chit-chats, alcohol and a lot of dancing. When Maroon 5 first played, I knew this was my shot on the dance floor, so my brother, mom and I headed out to the dancefloor and sang our lungs out. The evening ended at 5AM, after partially cleaning up, with sore feet, whew!

PURCHASING THIS SWEATER
You gotta appreciate the small things in life and this is a great example of that. I found this sweater spontaneously in H&M, after wanting a red sweater for a good month, I tried it on and knew I was going to wear this a lot, so I bought it! I love the big, oversized sleeves, the turtleneck, the material and of course THE COLOR! And I'm a simple gal, so adding a pop of color in a sweater, with some black skinny jeans and vans, is a go-to outfit for me.

VISIT FROM MY CHILDHOOD FRIEND
In the end of the month, my childhood friend from since we were around 6 years old, came to visit me and stayed over from Saturday to Sunday. We had chit-chats over a cup of tea and coffee, before biking into town at 6PM for dinner at Froggy's. So lovely to see her again, always a good time! And this finishes the highlights from September.
