THE BEST EYESHADOWS FOR A ONE SHADOW LOOK

Saturday, September 9, 2017

One eyeshadow makeup looks are easy and perfect for a busy weekday. Just swipe one color all over the lids, add some mascara and you're good to go!

First of all we've got Underneath It All by NYX. As you can see, I've hit pan on this eyeshadow, which means I use it a lot! This mid-toned brown matte eyeshadow is my go-to, every single morning, if I don't feel like doing anything colorful. It's not the most exciting color and it pretty much just gives that no-eyeshadow-look. I use a small amount of this all over my eyelids, for some definition to my hooded lids.

Woodwinked by MAC is one of the first MAC eyeshadows I bought. This is a stunning shimmery gold eyeshadow. The cool thing about this is, when you blend it into the crease of your eyelids, the color of the eyeshadow turns into this burned orange color, which gives the illusion of wearing two different eyeshadows. On top of that, this color enhances most eye colors, and therefore makes blue, green and brown eyes stand out even more. I did a post all about this eyeshadow a few years back, where you can see how it looks on the eyelids, click here to read it.

This reddish, bronzy, shimmery eyeshadow is Sable by MAC. This shade of eyeshadow, is very wearable during the fall-winter season, so you should definitely give this a go, if you thinking about buying a new eyeshadow for this time of the year. At the moment I'm interning at a hospital, where I don't necessarily want to wear crazy colorful eyeshadows. But for days where the NYX eyeshadow seems a little too simple, this is the eyeshadow I wear. It gives the eyelids a subtle pop of color.

When the copper eyeshadow look was highly popular, I stumbled across this beautiful shimmery copper eyeshadow. It's called Sequin by ColourPoP, and it's both a very shimmery, pigmented and inexpensive eyeshadow. Wearing this eyeshadow is definitely a little more daring than others, but still in a very wearable way. Again a shade perfect for the upcoming fall-winter season.

Lastly this is the most bold color out of all five mentioned here. Orange Ochre by H&M, is a straight up orange eyeshadow. The reason why I bought this, was because I wanted to try out an eyeshadow that was meant for green eyes. I wrote a post earlier this year, right when I got it, with pictures of me wearing it and if you click here, you'll see how much it enhances green eyes! Wearing this is definitely a look in itself and it looks quite different, which is why I love it!
