URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTE | REVIEW

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

I know I'm about 4 years late with this one, but better late than never, right? This is my absolute new favorite palette!

The Urban Decay NAKED Palette comes with 12 eyeshadows - 2 matte, 3 satin and 7 metallic. As you can see on the pictures above, the colors are gorgeous and very pigmented. What I love about this palette is that, there are both warm and cool toned smooth eyeshadows. Light, medium and dark shades, therefore it will suit all eye colors and you can created endless different looks with just this one palette. The only thing that sucks about this palette is the price, I bought mine for about $60 (360 DKK), but when you think about how many different colors you get and how many different looks you can create, I would definitely say it's completely worth the price.

THE SHADES

Virgin - a pale satin off white, with a light pink undertone. Perfect as a brow bone highlighter.
Sin - a pale metallic champagne-pink. Great as an inner corner highlighter, to make your eyes look bigger and brighter.
Naked - a light matte brown. I use this as a transition color in the crease.
Sidecar - a metallic rosy-pink. Beautiful all over the lid.
Buck - a matte warm-toned tan. Perfect for darkening the crease.
Half Baked - a metallic gold. Beautiful on blue eyes.
Smog - a metallic medium bronze. Great all over the lid and crease color.
Darkhorse - a metallic brown-bronze with a gold sheen. Perfect for smoking out your eye makeup.
Toasted - a metallic rosy-purple. Beautiful on green and brown eyes.
Hustle - a satin dark purple. Nicely paired with Toasted, for a smokey look.
Creep - a satin dark blue with blue/silver shimmer. Great if you are going for a cool-toned smokey eye.
Gunmetal - a blue-toned metallic silver/gunmetal. Would look great all over the lid, with Creep in the crease to smoke it out.

This palette is pretty easy to get your hands on if you live in the United States, I know Ulta and Sephora sell it. In the UK you can buy it in Selfridges. In Denmark you can't buy it anywhere in stores, luckily there are a few websites that sell it with free shipping to lots of countries, here are a few of the websites - beautybay.com - feelunique.com - asos.com.
